Plant a seed and watch it start to grow, see what it is like to milk a goat, feed the chickens and collect their eggs, hold a duckling, feed a baby goat from a bottle, ride a horse, even see a brand new chick hatch out of its egg. You will do all this and more at the farm this summer.
The farm activities are only part of what we have to offer.
Swim in the nearby stream. On hot afternoons enjoy supervised trips to cool off in the stream next door to the farm
Sing your favorite songs. Steven plays all your favorites on the guitar.
Bake goodies in the kitchen. Elizabeth has some delicious bread and cookie recipies.
Evening bonfire. The perfect time for roasting marshmallows.
Elizabeth Hawkins is an artist and a registered nurse who has worked many summers as a summer camp nurse in the USA.
Steven Hawkins is a theater teacher at Country Day School in Escazu and director of the Home School Group Theater Ensemble in Puriscal.
Together they have two children, Olivia, age 14 and Sam, age 11 who help them run the farm.

Summer Camp at Barking Horse Farm
Plant a seed and watch it start to grow, see what it is like to milk a goat, feed the chickens and collect their eggs, hold a duckling, feed a baby goat from a bottle, ride a horse, even see a brand new chick hatch out of its egg. You will do all this and more at the farm this summer.
The farm activities are only part of what we have to offer.
Explore your creativity in our ceramics/art studio. Part of each day is spent with guided art activities using a variety of mediums from clay to paints.
Create a theater piece. Play theater games and create a presentation for your parents on pick up day.
Swim in the nearby stream. On hot afternoons enjoy supervised trips to cool off in the stream next door to the farm
